It all began in London's famed vintage stores, and on the streets of its eclectic markets, indulging their obsession with fashion during moments stolen from their "real" jobs. The embellishments originate from traditional Indian and Japanese costumes of the 40's then translated into back pockets and leg accents. Patti picks up the merchandise on twice-yearly buying trips to the Manhattan trade shows known in the industry as "The Coterie" and "Intermezzo Collections." Only the latest techniques are used on the the Italian and Japanese denims and order to achieve an updates and modern look, combining both edgy washes and original designs.
